As we age, all of us will need a safe place to live and a means of transportation to meet our basic needs and avoid the social isolation that can make life difficult for older Americans. Utah Foundation supporter HNTB recently sponsored a community conversation on the idea of “aging in place.”
In this edition of Utah Thrives, we explore ways to address issues both big and small that will help set the agenda for future Utah Foundation research. Participants in this conversation include the event’s panelists:
- Elizabeth Fauth, USU Human Development and Family Studies Department professor
- Walter Cline, CEO at Summit Vista, a “Life Plan Community”
- Trista Lawrence, Coordination Administrator at the Utah Transit Authority
- Cissy Morton, Transportation Bureau Manager at Tooele County
We also hear from Utah Foundation board member Andrew Gruber, Executive Director of the Wasatch Front Regional Council, as well as Paul Leggett, Division Director of Aging and Adult Services at Salt Lake County.
