Gov. Gary Herbert’s Republican challenger says he will force the governor into a primary.
A confident Jonathon Johnson made that claim in an interview Thursday. Four men want to be the next governor and they appeared together at a luncheon at the Marriott City Center.
Johnson says delegates who support him were elected at caucuses this week. And he said if the governor had not collected thousands of signatures in a new way to get on the primary ballot, Herbert could have been ousted at the state convention.
