Utah Millennials pass on politics, more likely to get involved in social causes

As the largest living generation in Utah, Millennials could heavily influence politics in our state, but they don’t get involved.

A new report from the Utah Foundation puts the trend in perspective.

When it comes to the political landscape in Utah there’s no surprise here.

“We all know Utah is more conservative than the nation,” said Utah Foundation Research Analyst, Mallory Bateman.

But younger Utahns, specifically Millennials aren’t taking the same partisan approach.

“They tend to be more independent, so Millennials are much more likely to be independent than Baby Boomers,” said Utah Foundation Research Analyst, Christopher Collard.
