As the largest living generation Millennials are driving markets. Last year they bought more homes than any other generation.

In the next decade they are projected to make up 75% of the workforce.

Millennials are settling in to the American dream.

“Having our own house and that white picket fence,” said Utah Foundation Research Analyst, Mallory Bateman.

According to research from the Utah Foundation, national Millennials prefer to live in urban areas, but in Utah they are much more likely to choose the suburbs.

They also want access to mass transit and walkable communities.

“They weren’t willing to give up square footage in housing to be closer to these things necessarily, but I think that is something you can do in Utah, you can still have a reasonably sized home and be connected to the type of community,” said Bateman.

At work Utah Millennials are more content than their national peers, but Millennials every where believe the future is bright.
