New study finds Utah Millennials differ from national peers, but still follow national trends

Millennials are set to take over Baby Boomers as the largest living generation in the country this year.

That happened in Utah more than a decade ago.

Now a new study from the Utah Foundation is giving us a better understanding of who this generation is and how their outlook on life differs from others.

The study finds out what Millennials think about religion, politics, careers and more.

Why does it matter? Because as the largest living generation their views can impact all of our lives.

Millennials make up one-third of our states population.

They took over as the largest living generation in Utah back in 2000, 15 years ahead of national Millennials.

“Utahns tend to get married earlier, have children earlier, they tend to move into houses earlier, they have higher birth rates and so that kind of makes Utah a little bit different with this younger and rapidly expanding growth rate,” said Utah Foundation Research Analyst, Christopher Collard.
